So far, organzing the second year for the Havasu Half Marathon has come together nicely...  Lake Havasu City (Arizona) has been a pleasure to work with, allowing our participants to run across the World Famous London Bridge, while also closing down parts of the island so our participants can focus on running and not dodging traffic.

We're attacting participants from across North America - it's really quite exciting in watching our community come together, ready to play host to so many atheletes and families.  Our cut off for the Half Marathon is 1,000 runners, and although we haven't set a cut off for the 5k, we're expecting between 350 - 500 5k runners/walkers.  All in all, we're expecting 1,500 runners.

The community is really getting behind the event as well...  Since so many of our participants are from outside the area, we want to make it simple for people to find their way around.  Two Guys Pizza and Pasta is hosting the PRE race dinner - they're creating a special menu (with special prices) along with some live entertainment.  You'll be able to Carbo load and relax before the race...  During the race is always special, and for the Havasu Half, you'll love the location (London Bridge Beach), the vendors, and general excitement.  After the race, Mudshark Brewing Company is hosting the Post-Race party.  You'll love three things about Mudshark Brewing Company - the beer, the patio, and the food.  You'll enjoy their people too, but four things isn't as marketable as three things.

We're also looking to add entertainment to main street later in the evening - regardless if we do or not, you'll always find something to do up there...
